Wind Advisory in effect beginning tomorrow

It's going to be quite windy tomorrow with the passage of this next cold front. This is a quick- moving storm, so there will be about a six hour window when we will see mostly light rain beginning late tonight. By sunrise tomorrow, most of the precipitation will be out of here, and winds should start to pick up from the northwest around mid- morning tomorrow. The Wind Advisory runs from 10 am tomorrow and lasts until 10 am Wednesday. Winds are expected to be sustained around 20-25 mph and gust to near 40 mph. It will definitely be a Bad Hair Day Alert kind of day. A Winter Weather Advisory is up for the Sierra Nevada from tonight through tomorrow morning, mainly above 3500 feet. About 5-10 inches of snow are possible in the highest elevations of the Sierra, so plan accordingly if your travels take you through the mountains. Once this storm passes and the winds die down, expect sunny and calm weather through this weekend. Highs will be about average- mainly mid to upper 60s from Wednesday through next Monday. However, it will be chilly tomorrow- low 50s is all we'll muster, so bundle up against that wind! Here's Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:
