unsettled weather for the next several days

Enjoy today's mild, dry weather, for it's going to be wet and windy for the next several days beginning tomorrow. Forecast computer models continue to indicate several potent storms moving through our area, with the first arriving tomorrow. The first one will be a relatively weak storm, with light precipitation amounts. Winds will be breezy tomorrow, with southerly winds up to 20 mph. A more powerful storm arrives Monday night into Tuesday, and several more storms are ready to take aim at us as the work week progresses. Precipitation amounts for the valley between tomorrow and next Friday are estimated at between 3-5 inches. The Sierra Nevada will see several feet of snow (good news for skiers!). However, the snow is expected to be heavier and wetter than what we've seen so far this season, so maybe not so good news for skiers. I'm not a skier, but I imagine for good skiing conditions lighter and more powdery is best. Anyway, expect heavy rain at times and strong, gusty winds this next week. Urban flooding and power outages are likely, so be prepared. I love this kind of weather! Here's the detailed forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:
