Today has been wet and breezy in Chico, with nearly an inch of rain falling, as well as winds gusting to over 25 mph. Temperatures have been stuck in the 50s all day, well below our average high of 69 degrees. More rain is on the way, along with more snow for the Sierra Nevada. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the northern Sierra Nevada through tomorrow afternoon. Up to a foot of new snow is expected above 6000 feet through tomorrow. Rain will taper to showers overnight in the valley, and winds should subside, as well. We may see a break from the wet weather Thursday and Friday before another storm affects us on Saturday. Fingers crossed, Sunday and Monday we may finally see some sunshine. High temperatures will remain below average, staying primarily in the 50s to low 60s.
