* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING OF POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS IN...
THE NORTHERN FOOTHILLS...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...PARADISE...MAGALIA...
THE MOTHERLODE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF GRASS VALLEY...AUBURN...JACKSON...
SAN ANDREAS...
THE SOUTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...SACRAMENTO...ROSEVILLE...FOLSOM...
ELK GROVE...WOODLAND...VACAVILLE...
THE CENTRAL SACRAMENTO VALLEY...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF CHICO...OROVILLE...WILLOWS...
MARYSVILLE...
THE DELTA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...VACAVILLE...FAIRFIELD...

* UNTIL 230 PM PDT SATURDAY

* AT 235 PM PDT A FRONT WAS MOVING INTO THE AREA BRINGING A BAND
OF HEAVY TO MODERATE RAIN SHOWERS TO THE AREA. ANOTHER BAND OF EVEN
HEAVIER PRECIPITATION WILL PASS THROUGH THIS EVENING WITH SOME
SHOWERS CONTINUING INTO SATURDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING STREAMS. PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

MOTORISTS TRAVELLING IN THE AREA TONIGHT ARE ESPECIALLY ADVISED TO
EXERCISE CAUTION AS IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO SEE WATER COVERING
ROADWAYS AT NIGHT.
