Chico has seen over half an inch of rain today, along with a peak wind gust at the airport of 39 mph around 4 am. Rain will taper to showers overnight and into tomorrow before two more storms affect our area. The first of the next two storms will hit on Thursday, and the second on Friday. Winds and rain with these next two storms won't be as intense as with our current storm. However, still expect wind gusts to nearly 30 mph late this week and rain totals to range from a quarter to a half an inch Thursday and Friday. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm will be around for both Saturday and Sunday. Low elevation snow (possibly below 2000 feet) is possible this weekend; again, snow amounts are up in the air right now. Check back for updates as I will keep on top of the forecasts.
