March goes out like a lamb... a very warm lamb

Wow! What a difference a couple of days makes. Monday we saw highs in the mid 60s, while today we hit 79 degrees. Sunny skies and a breezy north wind contributed to the rapid warm-up. Tomorrow will be even warmer, with a high expected in the mid 80s! It will be dry and tranquil, however, as March definitely goes out like a lamb. The first half of the weekend looks wet for Chico, but the second half looks gorgeous, with seasonable temperatures. Much of next week also looks fantastic, with sunny skies and warm temperatures. Here are the details for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. North wind between 7 and 10 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 83. North northwest wind around 7 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. North wind around 7 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind around 6 mph becoming east.

Saturday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 69.

Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 48.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51.
