temps slowly warming up this week

Chico received .36" of rain yesterday. Last night Chico experienced a thunderstorm, with lightning, thunder, and brief rainfall. Today we will see none of that as high pressure returns. This will bring back the sunny weather for the next seven days. Temperatures will start out cool, with highs today only in the lower 70s. Temperatures will slowly warm throughout the remainder of this week, eventually reaching average (mid 80s) by Sunday. Here is the seven day forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service: Today: A 20 percent chance of showers before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. East southeast wind 6 to 9 mph becoming west northwest. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 49. North northwest wind between 9 and 13 mph. Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 82. North northwest wind between 8 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. North northwest wind between 7 and 10 mph. Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 81. Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51. Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Monday: Sunny, with a high near 87.
