getting warmer

Yesterday was the first time Chico got above 80 degrees since last Thursday. Yesterday's high temperature was 82 degrees. The warming trend will continue into early next week, and we may see highs crack 90 degrees as early as Friday. Still, no record heat or triple digit temperatures are in the forecast. Here are the specifics for Chico from the National Weather Service: Today: Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph. Tonight: Clear, with a low around 59. South wind at 8 mph becoming east. Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 8 mph. Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58. Southeast wind around 8 mph. Friday: Sunny, with a high near 90. South southeast wind between 3 and 7 mph. Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 89.
