Still Hot

Yesterday's high temperature in Chico was 102 degrees, making June 15th the hottest day of the year so far. It may not get as hot today or tomorrow, as the National Weather Service has revised the temperature forecast downward. Highs today and tomorrow will only top out around 101 degrees, instead of the 103-105 degrees they were forecasting. Still, it's going to be hot, so take precautions to keep yourself cool this weekend. By Tuesday, look for refreshing highs in the upper 80s. Most of next week will see see-sawing temps in the low to upper 90s. Sunny skies will rule, as is the case this time of year. Here is Chico's specific seven day forecast from the NWS: Today: Sunny and hot, with a high near 101. North northwest wind between 7 and 13 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 70. North northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph. Sunday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 101. Calm wind becoming south southeast between 11 and 14 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 64. South southeast wind between 9 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Monday: Sunny, with a high near 92. South wind between 3 and 8 mph. Monday Night: Clear, with a low around 60. Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 89. Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 60. Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 94. Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 63. Thursday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 62. Friday: Sunny, with a high near 93.
