will we ever see rain again?

I'm beginning to wonder. Logic dictates that, yes, we will see rain again, but when? Certainly not in the near future, as high pressure is anchored over California and refuses to budge. Currently it's overcast in Chico as a very weak front crosses over us. There is no precipitation with it, however. The sun should return later this afternoon and temperatures should reach the 60 degree mark- about five degrees above the average for this date. Expect dry conditions and mild temps to continue for the next seven days. I may have to do a rain dance soon! Here's Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. Calm wind becoming north between 4 and 7 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 62. North northwest wind between 6 and 8 mph.
