more of the same

Today's high temperature in Chico reached 65 degrees, 11 degrees above average. There's more of this type of weather to come, so if you like March weather in January, you're in for a treat. If you want rain, my apologies. No rain is in the forecast for the forseeable future. I tell you, we're going to be in real trouble if we don't get some precipitation soon. There is virtually no snowpack in the mountains right now, and millions of people in this state rely on snowpack for their water supply. It's becoming worrisome. Here is Chico's dry and mild forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Patchy dense fog after 10pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Light north northwest wind.

Wednesday: Patchy dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Calm wind.

Wednesday Night: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. Calm wind.

Thursday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 63. North northwest wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. North northwest wind around 6 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 60.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 59.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 58.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.
