It will be sunny. I promise.

Both yesterday and today saw unexpected showery weather move through. Yesterday Chico received .04", while today's light showers produced .06". Other than a slight lingering chance of showers this evening, this should be the last of the wet weather for awhile. This weekend looks gorgeous, but beware some subfreezing morning low temperatures in certain areas. Otherwise, enjoy the sunshine and mild weather! Here is the detailed forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers before 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. North northwest wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 62. North northwest wind between 7 and 13 mph.

Friday Night: Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 33. North northwest wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Saturday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 64. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 60.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 60.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
