The National Weather Service is still predicting a wet New Year's Eve and New Year's Day as a storm with fairly abundant moisture moves ashore from the Pacific. More rain is expected with this storm than the last (Chico got a little over a third of an inch), while temperatures will remain steady in the upper 40s to lower 50s. The high temperature in Chico today was 52, while the low was 46. It should remain dry for the first weekend of 2010. Dress for the weather if heading out for New Year's celebrations.
