quiet weather... for now
We need the quiet weather after yesterday's heavy downpours. Chico received over a third of an inch of rain, mainly occurring last evening. I'm rehearsing for a musical at the Chico Theater Company (called Paint Your Wagon; opens January 9th- go see it!), and right before rehearsal began the rain started pouring down. It was so loud, those of us inside the theater could barely hear each other. I thought the roof was going to cave in! After the rain moved out last evening, the winds picked up out of the northwest, gusting to over 30 mph! Today through Christmas will be much calmer, and the sun will make a return appearance after the previous three days of fog and rain. Sometime this weekend, say around Sunday, another storm will move in. This one looks colder than the previous storms, so there could potentially be low snow levels. I'll keep an eye on it. High temperatures today through Saturday will be in the low to mid 50s, but will chill down to the mid 40s Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows will be mainly in the 30s through early next week. Enjoy the return of the sun!
