heat wave coming

Well, relatively speaking. Especially compared to our recent temperatures, which have been stuck in the upper 60s/ lower 70s the past several days. Plus, there has been more cloud cover than expected as storms push through the Pacific Northwest and we see the tail ends of these storms in the form of clouds. No rain with these clouds, though, and we should expect dry conditions for the next seven days. Also, look for a BIG warm-up in temperatures the next few days. By Friday we could reach 90 degrees! Mid 80s are forecast for this weekend, so break out the shorts and flip-flops! Temps should moderate to near normal by early next week. Here's Chico's seven day forecast in detail from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. North northwest wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. North northwest wind around 10 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
