what a difference a day makes

This time yesterday the temperature in Chico was 85 degrees; currently it is 76 degrees. I believe a weak area of low pressure that moved north of us into the Pacific Northwest is partly responsible for today's cooler temps. High temperatures the next several days will not deviate too much from where we are right now- mainly upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Lows will bottom out in the lower 50s. Normals for this time of year are 77 for the high and 46 for the low. Again, no rain is expected the next seven days. Here are the details from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 53. Northwest wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 78. Northeast wind at 5 mph becoming south.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. South southeast wind around 6 mph becoming north northeast.
