warm and breezy day

The high temperature today in Chico under sunny skies and northwesterly breezes was 86 degrees. That's nine degrees above the normal of 77 degrees. Even though the temperature was warm, it didn't feel as warm due to low humidity. Expect slightly cooler temps for the rest of the week as a weak area of low pressure moves to our north. High temperatures will be at or slightly above normal, while low temperatures will be five to nearly ten degrees above normal the next seven days. Low temperatures are normally in the mid 40s for this time of year, so we'll be well above that. Sunny, dry weather will prevail, with no rain on the horizon. Here is the seven day outlook for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 56. North northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 82. Northwest wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. Southeast wind between 5 and 8 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. South wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 77.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 78.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.
