noticeably cooler

Wow! It has been very cool today, especially when compared to just two days ago. The temperature currently in Chico is 70 degrees, with a northwesterly breeze between 15-20 mph. The cooler weather is thanks to a cold front that passed through late yesterday. No precipitation was associated with it- just a wind shift and cooler air from the north. We should see temps remain in the lower to mid 70s through this weekend. What will be more noticeable, though, will be the low temps. Lows will hover in the lower to mid 40s the next several mornings. Break out the jacket or coat for the first time this season! Here's the seven day forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 44. North northwest wind between 7 and 11 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind around 9 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. North northeast wind around 8 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72. North northwest wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 46.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 75.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 75.
