warm weekend followed by cooler work week

It was a sunny and warm afternoon in Chico, as the high temperature climbed to 78 degrees. This warm trend will continue into the weekend, with highs both Saturday and Sunday reaching to near 80 degrees (normal high for October 29th is 73 degrees). However, it looks like next week will be cooler, with highs into the lower 70s through Wednesday, and the upper 60s for Thursday through next Friday. There might even be a chance of rain showers for the end of next week. We haven't seen rain in over three weeks!
