one more storm, then nice weather

It was a frosty morning in Chico this morning, with a low temperature of 34 degrees, 8 degrees below average for this date. In Paradise, a dusting of snow covered the ground this morning (although it had all melted away by late morning when the sun came out). Magalia, north of Paradise, received several inches of snow. It was weird driving around Chico this morning and seeing some cars with a pile of snow on their roofs. They obviously came from Magalia! Tonight will be chilly, as well, with lows in the 20s and 30s. A fairly strong but quick-moving storm will affect our area Friday and Friday evening. Moderate rain and gusty winds will accompany this storm, and a Winter Storm Watch has been posted for the Sierra Nevada. Once this next storm exits, beautiful spring weather will dominate. Highs are predicted to reach 70 degrees by the latter half of the weekend. What a nice way to kick off spring break! Here's the seven day forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:
