nice weather ahead
Nice weather is ahead, but we have to get through today first. A 100% chance of rain is in the forecast for Chico today, with windy conditions to accompany the rain. In the mountains, expect one to two feet of snow between now and tomorrow morning. A Winter Storm Warning has been posted for the Sierra. This is a somewhat cool storm (temperature-wise), so expect snow levels between 3500 and 4500 feet. High temps in Chico today will only reach the mid 50s, about ten degrees colder than average. After today, though, the sun returns, and we should see a gradual warming trend. Tomorrow's highs, under clear skies and breezy northwest winds, will reach 60 degrees. By Sunday, and continuing through next Wednesday, highs will be in the low to mid 70s! Gorgeous! Mother Nature is being kind to us for spring break. Sunshine will continue through the end of next week, with highs cooling slightly by Thursday and Friday into the upper 60s. All in all, not a bad forecast. Enjoy the warmth!
