breezy and wet the next 12-14 hours

A storm is preparing to move through our area over the next several hours. Already the winds have picked up from the south, gusting to 25-30 mph. The sun is still shining right now, but it should rapidly cloud up after sunset and begin to rain overnight tonight. Just as quickly as this storm moves in, it moves out, with just a chance of early showers tomorrow. Looking out into the future (mainly next week), it looks like a prolonged wet pattern will emerge as a trough digs into northern California.
