dramatic temperature rise

Chico will go from the lower 30s this morning (31 degrees was the temperature last hour) to the mid 70s by Tuesday. Break out the shorts and sunscreen! Just in time for spring break, the weather will be spectacular. As it looks now, the forecast will carry these warm temps all the way through the end of next week. Highs will be mainly in the 70s from tomorrow (Sunday) through next Friday. Highs today under sunny skies will rise to the upper 50s. Still on the chilly side, but the sun will make it feel a little warmer than that. Yesterday's storm dropped about a third of an inch of rain on Chico, with winds gusting to around 30 miles per hour and a high temperature of only 50 degrees. It was cold walking across the Chico State campus yesterday! But, that storm is a distant memory now. Get ready for some fantastic weather!
