three days in a row of 70 degree temps

Yep, today marks day #3 of temperatures above 70 degrees in Chico. Yesterday was especially windy in Chico, as well, with winds gusting from the northwest over 30 mph. Winds have abated today, but it is still very warm- a good 8-10 degrees above average. It looks like cooler weather will invade beginning tomorrow and last through the middle of next week. Temps tomorrow will be nearly 15-20 degrees below what they are today! It'll be a mixed bag of weather the next seven days, with slight chances of rain mixed in with partly to mostly sunny skies. Again, high temps will remain below average (63-64 degrees) through the middle of next week. Here is the latest forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. South southeast wind at 10 mph becoming north.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. North northwest wind between 11 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. North northwest wind around 10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. North wind at 7 mph becoming west.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Calm wind becoming north northwest between 4 and 7 mph.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 54.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55.

Tuesday Night: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 38.

Wednesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 54.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 63.
