It was kind of a mixed bag of weather today, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs right around 60-63 degrees in Chico. A winter storm is taking aim at Northern California and will begin to affect us over the next 24-36 hours. Valley locations should see anywhere from a quarter to a third of an inch of rain, while snow levels in the Sierra Nevada will drop down to 3500 feet late tomorrow night into early Monday. Snow accumulations will occur mainly above 4000 feet, where 3-6 inches of the white stuff will fall. Expect 10 inches of snow above 5500 feet. The ski resorts will definitely add to their base with this storm. Once this storm passes, expect drier weather, but cooler than what we've seen. Highs will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s, and mainly 30s for lows in the valley. Here is Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:
