10 PM PST FRIDAY ABOVE 2000 FEET...
THE WINTER STORM WARNING ABOVE 2000 FEET IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM
7 AM THIS MORNING TO 10 PM PST FRIDAY.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 10 TO 14 INCHES ABOVE 2500 FEET BY FRIDAY
EVENING...WITH 5 TO 9 INCHES ABOVE 2000 FEET. SEVERAL INCHES MAY
FALL DOWN TO 1500 FEET BEFORE SNOW LEVELS RISE A BIT LATE TODAY.
* TIMING: SNOW SHOWERS WILL REDEVELOP THIS MORNING AND BECOME
HEAVY AT TIMES BY LATE THIS MORNING. SNOW LEVELS WILL RISE FROM
1500 TO 2000 FEET THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO
SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS FRIDAY EVENING.
* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: GRASS VALLEY
* WINDS: SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH LOCAL GUSTS TO 45
MPH AT THE UPPER ELEVATIONS.
* IMPACTS: LOW ELEVATION SNOW. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS AND
DANGEROUS BACK COUNTRY TRAVELING CONDITIONS.
