not much change to the forecast

For those of you jonesing for a powerful storm or two to move through our area, keep jonesing. We aren't getting any stormy weather for the next seven days. What we are getting is very warm, spring-like weather in early February- mainly mid to upper 60s for highs. We see these temps normally in middle to late March. We still need some rain and snow to supply us with enough water for the hot, dry summer ahead. Chico so far has seen just over 16 inches this rainy season (normal for an entire rainy season- mid- October through April- is 26 inches). I will need to research to see what % of normal the Sierra snowpack is up to this date, but I'm sure it's not too far above average. Maybe we'll get some good stormy weather in the next few weeks. For now, enjoy the abnormally warm weather! I'm sure many people back east would kill for our weather! Here's the latest forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:
