chilly but sunny

After a so-so day yesterday (mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers), today should contain plenty of sunshine. The day will start off cold, however, with patchy frost possible in many areas. Currently in Chico the temperature is a cold 28 degrees. Calm winds and clear skies last night aided in the cold morning temps. Highs should be around 50 degrees today, but that is ten degrees below normal. In fact, every day this week the high temp will be below average, as a trough of cold air digs into the western U.S. Another storm will affect our area by Thursday, with another shot of cold air accompanying it.
