It looks like this storm and its associated cold front are weakening, after pounding parts of the Pacific Northwest with strong winds and heavy rain the past two days. Portland, Oregon received nearly two and a half inches of rain in just over 24 hours! Parts of the Seattle area received over an inch of rain in just a few hours early this morning. Fortunately (or unfortunately, if , like me, you love stormy weather) we won't see all of that heavy rain and high winds here. Still, expect Thanksgiving to be wet for most of the northern Sacramento Valley and adjacent foothills the next 24 hours. Snow levels will be high- mainly above pass level. Just a few inches of snow is expected above 6000 feet through tomorrow night. This weekend looks spectacular, with sunny skies and spring-like temperatures in the mid to upper 60s in Chico.
