fall is in the air

These photos were taken earlier today on the campus of Chico State University (my alma mater). As you can see, the fall colors are becoming more vivid than they were just a few days ago. The leaves should reach their peak fall color this week. Also as you can see, it has been mainly overcast today. That's the opposite of what the National Weather Service forecasters were calling for, which was mostly sunny skies. That may still happen, but at the time I'm typing this entry, it is still mostly cloudy. Most of this upcoming week will be dry and seasonable, with highs in the mid 60s and lows right around 40 degrees. Thursday night we'll begin to see a chance of rain, and that will linger through the weekend. Colder tmperatures will also prevail next weekend, with highs on Friday in the mid 50s and highs on Saturday in the upper 40s! Low temperatures on Saturday morning will plummet to around 30 degrees. Get ready for the colder weather that appears to be in store for Chico. Have a great week!
