foggy mornings, sunny afternoons

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was a gray and somewhat wet day today, as Chico saw .44 of an inch of rain. If you're getting an early start on Black Friday (some stores in Chico will open at midnight tonight), be very careful when driving. Fog is thick in some areas, with visibilities down to one mile or less, particularly in the foothills right now. This will be the weather pattern the next few days, as the valley will see areas of dense fog in the overnight and early morning hours, followed by afternoon sunshine. High temperatures the next several days will be in the low to mid 60s as strong high pressure will dominate our weather. Here are the details specifically for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Light east southeast wind.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Calm wind becoming northwest between 5 and 8 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. North northwest wind between 3 and 6 mph.
