Today was a weird day weatherwise. In Chico, the high temperature only made it to 56 degrees- 25 degrees below average! Nearly a half an inch of rain fell, bringing the rainy season average up to just over 28 inches. Chico normally sees just over 26 inches in a rain year, which runs from July 1st until June 30th. Showers will hang out for a couple of more days, as another disturbance rolls in off the Pacific Ocean. There shouldn't be any thunderstorms with this next system, though, so expect plain old showers and chilly temperatures (relatively speaking) through Tuesday. We'll finally begin to see the sun by Wednesday, and the rest of the week into the weekend looks very nice. Here's the seven day forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:
