slight chance of t-storms the next 24 hours

Don't expect any widespread severe weather or damage with these thunderstorms. There may be some very isolated incidences of hail and lightning, but otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies this afternoon through tomorrow. The rest of the week looks dry and uneventful, with the exception of Wednesday. There will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms that day, then dry and sunny weather returns for Thursday through the holiday weekend. Temperatures look to be below average for the most part, with highs in the mid 70s to lower 80s and lows generally in the 50s. Here are the details for Chico from the National Weather Service:

This Afternoon: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 50. South wind 6 to 11 mph becoming north northwest. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. North northwest wind at 5 mph becoming south.

Monday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then a slight chance of showers between 8pm and 11pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Calm wind becoming north northwest between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 77. South southwest wind between 3 and 6 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.
