ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
VALLEY AND ADJACENT FOOTHILLS THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.
RUNOFF FROM MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS AND
ALONG COUNTRY ROADS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS
OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. MUD AND ROCK SLIDES
ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THE MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL TODAY.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS
OCCURRING OR IS EXPECTED.
ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION. IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY DO NOT CROSS IT. THE WATER MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW YOUR
VEHICLE TO CROSS SAFELY.
