WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 5 PM PDT FRIDAY FOR
THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SACRAMENTO VALLEY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY FOR THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SACRAMENTO VALLEY...WHICH
IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 5 PM PDT FRIDAY.
* WINDS: STRONG SUSTAINED SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH
GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH FROM MARYSVILLE UP TO REDDING. BREEZY
CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY IMPACT THE SACRAMENTO AREA...BUT SHOULD
STAY BELOW ADVISORY LEVEL CRITERIA.
* TIMING: WINDS SHOULD INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY BY MID MORNING
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON WITH THE STRONGEST WINDS OCCURRING FROM
LATE MORNING THROUGH MID AFTERNOON.
* IMPACTS: RAIN IS LIKELY TO ACCOMPANY THESE STRONG WINDS...SO BE
PREPARED FOR ANY POWER OUTAGES AS POWER POLES MAY BLOW OVER DUE
TO WINDS ALONE AND/OR MAY SUCCUMB TO VEHICLE IMPACTS DUE TO SLICK
ROADWAYS.
It's expected to be wet and windy tomorrow and again for Easter Sunday as two strong storms will roll into Northern California. Take heart, though- beautiful, sunny weather will return by early next week, with high temps climbing into the lower 70s Tuesday through next Thursday.
