nasty to nice

Yesterday was pretty nasty weatherwise in Chico and environs, as rain fell in sheets around the area. Chico picked up nearly an inch of rain, while parts of the foothills east of town accumulated nearly two and a half inches of rain. Today has been overcast most of the day, but the clouds began to part late this afternoon, and the sun popped out between the clouds. It's been blustery in Chico this afternoon, with northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Temps today have also been cool, with highs so far today in the lower 60s. It will get dramatically warmer over the next few days, with highs expected to soar into the lower 80s by this weekend. However, these warm temps will not stick around, as yet another storm may arrive by early next week. This system is expected to knock temps back down into the mid 70s by Monday and upper 60s by Tuesday of next week. Of course, this could change, so keep checking back for updates. For now, here's what the latest forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service has to say:

  1. As long as we get warm sunshine on the weekends so I can play golf, it can rain all week, every week as far as I'm concerned. Keep it up mother nature and fill those lakes :)
