WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM PDT SUNDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY FOR THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SACRAMENTO VALLEY...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM PDT SUNDAY.
* WINDS: SOUTHERLY WINDS IN THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SACRAMENTO
VALLEY ARE FORECAST TO BE SUSTAINED AROUND 20 TO 30 MPH WITH LOCAL
GUSTS UP TO AROUND 40 MPH.
* TIMING: SUSTAINED STRONG WINDS SHOULD BEGIN AROUND NOON AND
CONTINUE THROUGH 9 PM IN THE EVENING. LOCALLY STRONG GUSTS ALSO
POSSIBLE DURING THIS PERIOD.
* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: CHICO...REDDING...RED BLUFF
* IMPACTS: WINDY CONDITIONS COUPLED WITH STRONG GUSTS CAN CAUSE
TREE BRANCHES TO FALL AND/OR DOWN SMALL TREES WHICH MAY LEAD TO
LOCAL POWER OUTAGES. LOOSE OUTDOOR ITEMS COULD BE PICKED UP AND
TOSSED AROUND BY WINDS.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 25 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH GUSTS
POSSIBLE AROUND 40 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING
DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA
CAUTION. LOOSE OUTDOOR ITEMS SHOULD BE SECURED.
