calm and dry

Chico picked up .15" yesterday when some isolated showers popped up over Butte County. Today was beautiful, if a bit cool and breezy. At least the sun shone throughout the day, making it feel warmer than it actually was. High temps in Chico barely made it above 60 degrees, but tomorrow should be significantly warmer as temps are expected to climb into the low 70s. The dry weather should stick around through the first half of the weekend, but a weak trough of low pressure will keep things cool and showery from Sunday through the middle of next week. Here's the seven day forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. North northwest wind around 8 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 73. North northwest wind between 7 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. West southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming east southeast.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. East southeast wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. North northwest wind around 11 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.
