CALIFORNIA THIS WEEKEND...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP OFF THE CALIFORNIA
COAST THIS WEEKEND...BRINGING WET AND WINDY WEATHER TO NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
*TIMING: LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS
LATE SATURDAY. VALLEY RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW BECOMING HEAVIER
SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT.
*WINDS: GUSTY WINDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH OVER THE MOUNTAINS ON
SUNDAY. VALLEY GUSTS UP TO AROUND 40 TO 45 MPH POSSIBLE SUNDAY
AFTERNOON.
*SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: A FOOT OR MORE POSSIBLE OVER THE MOUNTAINS
SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
*VALLEY RAINFALL: AREAS OF AN INCH OR MORE SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
*POSSIBLE IMPACTS: CHAIN REQUIREMENTS OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES. GUSTY
WINDS AND PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN IN THE VALLEY AND
FOOTHILLS SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
