The current temperature in Chico is 94 degrees. That will be downright mild in comparison to the expected high temps later this week. In fact, triple digit heat will affect our region beginning tomorrow. We should see at least three consecutive days at or above 100 degrees as a ridge of high pressure begins to strengthen over the West Coast. the triple digit temperatures should abate by early next week, but we'll still be in the mid 90s. Oh, well. This is normally Chico's hottest time of the year, anyway. Why not enjoy it! Take a dip into Sycamore Pool or hike up to Bear Hole in Upper Bidwell Park and jump into the chilly waters of Chico Creek. Just be smart- don't swim alone.
