Happy Valentine's/ Singles' Awareness Day! It looks like a wet weekend for Chico, as a strong weather system impacts the West Coast, particularly the Pacific Northwest. Residents of western Washington and Oregon will experience heavy rain and strong winds, especially Sunday. We here in Northern California won't be spared, though, as the tail end of this storm will bring us a good chance of rain for late Saturday/ early Sunday. We can expect between a quarter of an inch and a half inch of rain from this storm, while the higher elevations of the Sierra could see over a half a foot of fresh snow. It will be breezy, as well, with southerly winds 15-25 mph. Temperatures will be mild, with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s and 50s. It may cool down some next week, with continued chances of rain and high temps in the lower 60s. Overnight lows next week will cool into the upper 30s to lower 40s. Have a great weekend!
