just a bit of rain

Chico actually saw some rainfall early this morning- .25" fell altogether. The clouds soon gave way to sunshine around mid- morning, and the northwest wind cleared out the stagnant air. The high temperature in Chico today made it to 55 degrees- just one degree below the average for the date. This will be the last time we see rain for awhile, as high pressure builds back in and deflects any Pacific storms to our north. Here is Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. North northwest wind around 8 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 59. North northwest wind between 7 and 9 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. North northeast wind around 6 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 58. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 35. Calm wind becoming northeast around 6 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56.

Sunday Night: Patchy frost after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 36.

Monday: Patchy frost before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 59.

Monday Night: Areas of frost after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 36.

Tuesday: Areas of frost before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 60.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54.
