The past two days have been gorgeous (with the exception of some low clouds this morning), with highs yesterday in the mid 70s and today in the lower 70s. Kiss that warmth goodbye, because we're not going to see temps that warm for awhile. Normal highs for Chico this time of year are around 69-70 degrees, but we'll be below that for the next seven days. Low temperatures will also be quite chilly- in the 30s and 40s for overnight lows this weekend! There is also a decent chance of rain tomorrow night into Thursday, and again late Sunday. If you've put away the umbrellas thinking the rainy season is over, you may want to pull them back out again. Also, if you're heading into the mountains later this week, prepare for wintry weather in the form of snow. Several inches of snow are possible above 4000 feet in the Sierra Nevada, and some light accumulations may even be possible above 2000 feet.
