it's May, and the weather is fine

Man, yesterday was nearly perfect as far as the weather goes. Other than a stiff breeze out of the northwest, it was gorgeous. The high temperature in Chico yesterday was a perfect 78 degrees under a nearly cloudless sky. Today will be sunny and a bit warmer, with the northwest breeze still hanging around. The entire upcoming work week looks gorgeous, with sunny skies and mild temperatures. It's enough to make one want to play hookie from work or school. If you have a vacation this week, there's no need to leave the area. Stay here and enjoy this fantastic weather! Here's the latest Chico forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 83. North northwest wind between 11 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 48. North northwest wind 17 to 20 mph decreasing to between 7 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 81. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south southeast.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming north.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 75. North northwest wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 75.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 79.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
