possible chance for rain next week?
Let's hope so, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It has been extremely dry this rainy season, which continues a dry streak stretching back at least three years. As we get closer to the end of the rainy season, our hopes (and chances) for rain decrease. But, if you are a fan of sunny, warm weather, this is your forecast! Sunshine and highs in the 70s will be the rule through at least next Monday, with a chance of rain for Tuesday. Here is Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:
Today Sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind.
Tonight Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. Calm wind.
Thursday Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Light and variable wind.
Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. Light and variable wind.
Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. North wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the morning.
Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 45.
Sunday Sunny, with a high near 74.
Sunday Night Clear, with a low around 48.
Monday Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
Monday Night A slight chance of rain. Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.
