temps heating up

Yesterday was simply gorgeous in Chico, with sunny skies, low humidity, excellent visibility, and comfortable temperatures. The high temperature in Chico yesterday was 81 degrees. Today has been a different story, with the current temp at 92 degrees. We should stay in the 90s for highs the next few days, and push the century mark by the end of the weekend and into early next week. Wouldn't it be nice if this was our last heat spell of the summer? Alas, it most likely will not. September is notorious in Chico for hot weather, with temps soaring into the low 100s late into the month. I've seen temps in the mid 90s as late as the day before Halloween! However, we have had a relatively mild summer this year, which will hopefully translate into a mild fall. Only time will tell. In the meantime, get ready for the next heat spell! Here's the latest Chico seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:
