that chance for rain? Maybe not.

You can stop looking forward to that rain chance for next week. It looks like it has dwindled to a "slight chance" for next Monday night and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. We may not see ANY rain for the month of November, as a large, sprawling, powerful ridge of high pressure dominates our weather over the next seven to ten days. This is not good, as we are already in a serious drought situation here in the Western U.S. Who knows when we'll see rain again! Look for mainly sunny skies and mild temperatures for the next week, with just a slight chance of a shower Monday night, Tuesday, and Tuesday night. Highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s, while overnight lows will be in the mid 40s. The good news is that the fall colors in Chico are really nice right now, and this mild weather will prolong those colors. Here's Chico's specific seven day forecast from the NWS: Today Sunny, with a high near 71. Light and variable wind. Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 45. Light northeast wind. Saturday Sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 47. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming northeast in the evening. Sunday Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the morning. Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. Veterans Day Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Monday Night A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Tuesday A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Tuesday Night A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Wednesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Wednesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Thursday Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
