Continued dry

I hope everyone had a nice Veterans' Day. Thank you to all who have served our country. The weather was nice yesterday, with some milky white high clouds filtering some of the sunshine over Chico, and a high of 74 degrees. We should be at 67 degrees for our high for November 11th. Other than a slight chance (20%) of showers this morning, expect dry and mainly sunny skies through early next week. This high pressure ridge over us is strong, keeping the jet stream far to our north and steering storms into the Pacific Northwest. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s through Thursday, then cool down slightly into the upper 60s for this weekend. A weak cold front will push through our area at the end of this week, bringing in cooler marine air but no rain. Here is the detailed seven day forecast for Chico from the National Weather Service: Today A 20 percent chance of showers before 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. West northwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 43. North wind around 6 mph. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 74. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 43. North wind around 8 mph. Thursday Sunny, with a high near 73. North northwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 42. Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. Sunday Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Monday Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.
