moderate cool down

It was a warm weekend in Chico, with a high temperature yesterday of 84 degrees, and a high today of 88 degrees! The normal high for April 21st is 74 degrees, so, yeah, it was warm. The warmth was aided by breezy northwesterly (read: downsloping) winds both yesterday and today. The warmth continues (along with the breezy north winds) into the work week, as highs stay in the mid 80s through midweek. A trough will begin to influence the temperatures later in the week, and we may see highs below 80 degrees by next weekend. High temps will stay above average through the next seven days. Overnight lows will be right around 50 degrees. No rain is in the forecast. Here are the specifics for Chico from the National Weather Service: Tonight Clear, with a low around 49.
