slight chance of rain for the weekend

Chico received about half an inch of rain from yesterday's storm. Winds were not much of a factor, as they only gusted to around 20 mph at times. This storm will linger through today, but will move out overnight tonight. This will allow us to dry out for the day tomorrow before another chance of rain enters for Friday and Saturday. These chances of rain for this weekend are slight, however, and most areas may not see much of any rain at all. Sunday through New Year's Day look sunny and mild, with highs in the 50s. Here is Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service: Today Showers likely, mainly before 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 49.
